Amritsar Group of Colleges is one of the most well-known Colleges in Punjab. It was established in 2002 by Amritsar International Education Trust (AIET). It is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) & the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC). The institution has earned many ranks and awards at the national level. The institution is affiliated to Punjab Technical University [PTU] and recognized by University Grants Commission [UGC]. Promoting Sports:

So, sport is given due recognition and importance in everyday life. Regular inter departmental and inter college matches are the groundwork for state and national level debuts. Each sport has a Club and coaches to extend full support; teamwork, communication, leadership and networking are some of the takeaways from joining a club.
10th Annual Athletic Meet:
The Institute is now going to organize 10th Annual Athletic Meet on February 23–24, 2023 at Jagir Singh Sandhu Memorial Stadium, Manawala.Its very good opportunity for the students to show their physical fitness, sportsmanship and spirit of teamwork.
The Events that are included in 10th Annual Athletic Meet are 100 m race, 200 m race,400 m race, 800 m race, 400*100 m race, 4*400 m race, long run jump and short put throw.
The athletic meet is helpful for the students as it provides them with opportunities to participate in various events that enhance physical strength, widen talent pool and help the youngsters lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.
It is very important that students must participate in this athletic meet because being involved in sports teaches you various interpersonal skills such as patience, communication, leadership, punctuality, accountability, teamwork, trust, and others which will help you not only to win a particular sports competition but also grow and achieve success in life.
Every Year the sports team of AGC conducts an Annual Athletic Meet. This time 10th Annual Athletic Meet is going to organize which provides a lot more opportunities to the AGCians to show their hidden sports talent.
